What: Naturally Nude Cocooned in Wool for Danielle Chiel  - Mei & Picchi mannequins cocooned in Australian luxury hand wool knits & hand crafted headpieces.

Where: Danielle Chiel, Double Bay, Sydney

Why: To celebrate Australian Wool Week & to link the window concept to the same styling concept as co-ordinated for Royal Easter Show fashion parade.
Styling concept for fashion show-models were sent dashing down the runway wearing fly away hair & nakedness, cocooned only in their luxury Danielle Chiel hand knits.

How: To achieve the cocooned effect we wanted to dress the window, the store & the building. We installed a wool knit backdrop for the window installation & draped the outside of the store in knitted sections. Two large sculptural wool balls were sourced & sit outside the store to complete this Australian Wool Week installation.
A wool graphic was designed in decal & is on every window, wrapping around the building to complete the cocooned in wool concept.

Favourite part of the window: The store itself is like a gold fish bowl, so we played on the stores transparency & sourced more transparent pieces including a round light as seen in the window, transparent round vase & transparent stool as part of the store make over. We love the dramatic change the store has been given by the incorporation of the new Mei & Picchi mannequins with layered knitwear styling & team collaborative thinking & crafting. The head/eye wear pieces that were designed & crafted by Lara Camilleri & Sheree Aitken using sustainable materials. The elegant clear Italian chairs work a dream, while the exquisite Danielle Chiel knitwear invites nakedness & luxury knitwear layering for cocooning this winter.
