Premonition Designs-fortune favours the bold

Who: Daniel Matthias in collaboration with Karin Hasse & Nicole Ashley

What: PREMONITION Summer range VIP Night

Where: PREMONITION Store 38 Oxford st Darlinghurst.

Why: We were asked to do a window installation for the new summer range and refresh the store for the summer range VIP night. The design aesthetic of the range  was our inspiration- tribal, voodoo, shamanism, spirituality, ornamental ritualism, the more feathers and hessian the better!

How: Strips of calico were suspended off bamboo frames to create tent shapes, hessian was laid on the floor of the window for a desert sand look. Sticks & stones were then layered on top to further enhance the desert scene. Bamboo stars were crafted & layered with feathers, metal & twine.

Daniel not only did you transform the window & interior space of Premonition to something grander than it has ever been, you also created a collaborative environment for others to engage with your talent. We applaud your willingness to share that experience with Karin & Nik who always deliver excellence. We’ve got a premonition… Christmas layering in those calico tents for the festive season could be amazing…;-) Let there be light!
