Lights On Competition was a Belle Flaneur and Robby Ingham initiative as part of an urban renewal project for Oxford Street, Paddington. Celebrating the return of the Wallabies to Allianz Stadium we created a community event, dressing seven empty retail windows along Oxford street in the team colours of green and gold. Materials were provided by Reverse Garbage and students from Sydney TAFE Visual Merchandising and surrounding art colleges re-imagined the materials and created a walking window tour. Every window was different, The Sydney Mornings Heralds Georgina Safe covered the event with a write up on Frocks and Footy. Wallabies players Nathan Sharpe and Nick White presented our window winners with prizes, the Paddington Pub precinct participated with promotion and prizes and The Wallabies won the game!
